Dr Pei Lin Wang provides comprehensive assessment and management for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in adults and children 8 years old or older.
Dr Wang is among the first group of General Practitioners in South Australia selected to undertake advanced ADHD training through the SA Health and Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) ADHD GP training pathway. This program enables specially trained GPs to diagnose ADHD and prescribe appropriate treatments.
This initiative was introduced to improve access to ADHD care and reduce long waiting times for psychiatrist assessments.
Dr Wang provides:

Evidence-based treatment and medication prescribing
Ongoing monitoring and follow-up care
A holistic approach including lifestyle, behavioural and psychological strategies where appropriate
All assessments are conducted in accordance with current Australian clinical guidelines to ensure a thorough and careful evaluation.

Purpose:
Initial discussion of symptoms, screening for ADHD, and review of relevant medical and mental health history to determine whether a full diagnostic assessment is appropriate.

Discussion of assessment findings, confirmation of diagnosis where appropriate, and development of a personalised treatment plan. This may include medication initiation if clinically indicated.

All ADHD fees are required to be prepaid, and fees are not refundable. Please note ADHD diagnosis is not guaranteed, as the fee covers the process of assessment, it does not 'purhcase' the diagnosis.
ADHD stimulant prescription is prescribed at the discretion of the doctor and Drug Dependency Unit (DDU). Script for stimulants are tightly controlled by DDU, it cannot be prescribed without a current authority.
ADHD prescription is only valid with assessment reports from accredited ADHD GPs, paediatricians, or psychiatrist. DDU will not accept assessments from other health professionals, such as psychologist or nurse practitioners.
